About

Brooke Hampton once implored us to “speak to our children as if they are the wisest, kindest, most beautiful and magical humans on earth, for what they believe is what they will become.”

Entering the field of education in the midst of a global pandemic was an experience like no other. The weight of the world was still visible on everyone’s shoulders. I quickly saw how deeply our young learners had been impacted — and I immediately began searching for ways to spread light, to heal, and to connect with my students on a deeper, more human level. As I reflected, two passions — two worlds — collided:

Teaching.
Music.

While I am no professional musician, music has always spoken to me. It has been a steady thread in my life. Music, I believe, has a way of reaching people where words alone fall short. It listens back. It lifts. It lingers.

In a time when the world felt heavy, uncertain, and quiet, the idea of Grow began to bloom.

Each song on this album was created with intention and heart. Encouraged by Hampton’s words, I wanted my students to feel empowered, seen, valued, and inspired every time a song played. Some songs are about embracing individuality, having a growth-mindset, and standing up for and believing in yourself. Others serve as musical companions to lessons on figurative language, sensory writing, and vocabulary. Each time I introduced a song in class, it wasn’t just background noise. It was a lesson where we peeled back the lyrics, dove into meaning, and reflected together.

Grow is more than an album. It’s a letter to my students — past, present, and future. It’s a garden of songs, planted with hope, care, and purpose. Each track a seed, meant to take root in the hearts of young listeners and remind them of their light.

Tomorrow’s writers, builders, leaders, change-makers, and healers are here with us now — asking questions, imagining wildly, learning bravely. If we want "tomorrow" to be wise, kind, beautiful, and magical, we must remain fully present with our children today. Let’s believe in them. And more importantly, let's nurture a world where they can believe in themselves.
